In a video uploaded to YouTube, the artiste said Russia would be the place to be on February 21, 2014 as he makes his debut appearance at the Plan B Concert Hall and Nightclub in Moscow, Russia.
Tommy Lee Sparta, whose real name is Leroy Russell, will be having an exclusive concert at the annual international dance competition’s third edition, Dancehall International Vol. 3, put on by Russia’s Big Up Productions.
In an interview with The STAR, Sparta said the promoters from Russia contacted his management team in the hopes of booking him for the event. He also revealed that the anticipation prior to his appearance is very high.
“The demand is enormous over there; they can’t wait for the show. All of mi song dem a mash up the place.”
He also said that the Russians have choreographed dance routines to some of his most popular songs, many of which have been uploaded to YouTube.
“If you check it out you see crazy dance sequence them build fi mi songs dem. Me respect how them a show me love, so me a make the effort to do the show”, he said.
First time to Russia
The show will mark the artiste’s first time to Russia and Sparta says he’s looking forward to meeting his fans face to face, many of whom have been showing him love via Facebook and Twitter. “I hear a lot about Russia over the years and I’m finally getting to meet with some of the fans and feel them energy” he said.
Tommy Lee Sparta says there is a lot to expect from him in 2014 as he is currently working on a few new songs. “Songs like Free Your Mind (Head Concussion Records) that has a carnival vibe and No No (Clean Money rhythm) … that well bad, and the video a guh drop right behind it”, he said.
In addition to his new songs, Sparta also said that he has been doing work with a few international artistes but was not yet ready to reveal all the details.
